The other day, I got tired of watching all this baloney on the T.V. about moratoriums and rulings prohibiting Christmas displays in public places. It encouraged me to do some research on the amount of Christians there are in this world of 6 billion people as against the amount of Atheists.
It turns out there are 2.2 billion Christians of one sort or another who celebrate the birth of Christ and a measly 72 million Atheists that don't. There are some groups of people such as the Jehovah's Witnesses who look at celebrations as pagan rituals and do not celebrate them. But they are not Atheists in the sense of despising the thought of Jesus Christ or God. They still believe that God exists and Jesus was born the son of God.That's certainly their perogative as to how they want to honor him. It doesn't mean they don't respect the Christians that do. They just don't celebrate in a Paganistic way. I won't count them either way. therefore that makes it 320 Christians to 1 Atheist. So............... Should a town of 320 put up with complaints of 1 Atheist not liking Christmas, and not put up a Nativity scene? NO!!! Which brings me to the next question.
Should Atheist judges only be allowed on the benches to the same % of population? I think that would be a fair and excellent idea!!! Think about that while we go to bed on Christmas eve. (While the Atheist hipocrates spend Christmas day gloating over the profits their companies brought in because of Christmas sales?) ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.
When I wake up on the morning of December 25th, the first thing will be to thank God I did! Because it'll be Christmas!
There will be many Christians waking up that morning the same way. They'll be happily counting their blessings, wishing others "Merry Christmas," opening presents, some of which we never expected to receive, and forgiving those who may have offended them in one way or another in the past year.
Watching the children express their joy in the bountiful things they'll receive from others including Santa Clause, will always be a pleasurable moment.
Sometimes, just the words "Merry Christmas, I love you" are more than enough. It is for me as I meet the break of Dawn. But far more than that happened last beautiful Christmas morning. Expecting my daughter and son-in law to arrive that night to spend the special night with us, my wife found there were a few things needed for her baking. Realizing that Safeway was open for a few hours, she headed down there. She gathered the things she needed and approached the cashier who gleefully announced, "Congratulations, You are the recipient of $40.00 free groceries from an anonymous donor," Marilyn was totally surprised and pleased.
A woman who wished to remain unknown was paying for customers at random. The clerk explained she does it every year. My wife looked around, hoping to find her, but the service desk lady told her she wasn't in the store.
A humble and thankful gesture indeed. There's nothing wrong if us humans, with faith in God, create some of our own miracles, is there??
A premature, Merry Christmas to all, and by the way, Please don't watch the New Years celebrations that don't honor Auld Lang Syne!!! It's another Atheist attempt to dullen the great feeling we get when we all sing it. Belt it out, folks! It's a beautiful love song! Just sayin'.
