So why are we? Is it simply because they are? Is it because we want to get there too? Is it because we wonder if we will be? Or is it because we never stopped to think , in our busy past, about even getting that old? Or, as we get older and see the condition of some of our elders who are there already, do we ask ourselves if we even look forward to getting there?
Well......., It's all of the above for me. It's a "Damned if we do, and damned if we don't", situation, isn't it? Speaking solely for myself, I'll accept whatever is in store for me in the future, with the thought I could have done better, should have done better and, if I'm allowed the time, will continue to try to do better. I don't believe in casting the first stone, but sometimes wish I could get one in there!
I'm seventy five years old now, and have finally come to my own conclusions about whether there's a Supreme Being or a Hereafter. I believe there is, and with that in mind, I can more readily accept what's in store for me. In this way, I can hope for a continuation of Spiritual life in the future. It's my vision of "Peace of mind" while heading that way.
It allows me to forgive if I feel it's warranted, to forget if I can and look reality in the face with the realization there's something to look forward to in seeking the truth.
The truth is more serious now.
Sometimes the answers to questions are harsh, but that's the reality of it all. I won't allow myself to accept deception or half truths as a compromising way to "Kick the can down the road" for now. As it happens so often in today's Politics. I don't have enough breathing room for "Down the Road" intentions.
A problem needs to be solved at it's conception, not somewhere down the road. If the direction we are going is wrong, and we know it is, there should be no compromise in correcting it. There's should be no room for a half truth in solving a problem. Only the whole truth is acceptable. To me, this should apply to politics as well.
Forward to living in the Eighties , I would only like to be there, knowing I can still have the Godly freedom of declaring faith in God. Atheists would yank that out from under us if they could!
Would you believe God's philosophy is the right direction to follow, or should you follow the Atheists, some of whom hide behind the skirts of a chosen religion and call themselves "Socialists"?
To me, Socialism is the introduction to Marxism which in turn follows the philosophy of Atheism.
Their lack of belief in God allows for no conscience, no guilt, no fear of Spiritual punishment and nothing to look forward to in, or after, death. What a sad, boring future that is!! Not for me!!
The Atheist part of our Society is promoting an evil sense in their children and ours, in the respect that they have nothing to fear in the Ten Commandments,(which they never are taught), and the disobedience of our laws that are based on Godly beliefs. When I hear what a child has done to cause bodily harm or even kill someone, I refer to it as "The absence of God", and how could I be more truthful than that?
Socialism is deception in the manner of half truth. Compromise is a half truth in disguise when it comes to money, politics and religion. You can't buy a dollar for 50 cents, now can you?? No....!!
When you take Santa Clause or Christ out of Christmas, what's left to appreciate? It was never quite the same for me when I was told there was no Santa Clause.
When you take the music out of Instruments, what's left?
When you take Sanctity out of the joy of giving, what's left?
When you take the Lord out of the Lord's prayer, what's the point?
When an Atheist dies, who do they have to turn to? Nobody? That's a shame! Did they bring it on themselves? Most certainly. Will they always wonder why they did? I don't Know. Just like they'll never have proven there is no God!! One thing is for sure, though, I'm gonna believe just in case!
Taking God out our lives should not be an option for Atheists to attempt to do. When an Atheist carves a statue, or paints a painting, it's his or her privilege, but we don't have to look at it. If they want to express they are non-believers, which they do, we don't have to listen. They are by far a minority in this country, but the Constitution allows them to be.
So when they try to trample on our Constitutional rights to display a religious or holy inscription or to display the re-creation of Christ's birth, we should be able to do it. It's not violating their rights in any way. When an Atheist inspired Judge instructs us to compromise and remove it, he's a hypocrite in every sense of the word. He's protecting their Constitutional rights and denying ours. Does that make sense to you???
Since we haven't committed the first sin here, maybe we should cast the first stone!! Just sayin'.
