REFLECTIONS (2).......... A POEM
No matter the size of the boat or the ship,
There will always be a storm bigger.
Nor will a man be the toughest of tough
When another man's hand's on the trigger
Around every corner, when you think you're best,
Someone will test your God given talent
It doesn't matter, how skillful you get
To win will be harder, for you to be gallant.
Winning won't mean that you can't be a loser,
You won't always come out the better
But you'll have in common a very cool thing
Set goals, and you'll be a goal getter.
I once knew a man who claimed never to err
In his mind he just couldn't accept less
"Measure twice and cut once" he often would say
"You won't have to clean up your next mess."
But this gentleman didn't heed his own words,
And he left the job without thinking,
The mistake that he made was simple to fix
In his mind though, it was unforgiving.
One day he decided that he'd had enough
A sad man there was no mistaking
We all liked this strong minded young man
We knew not, that his life he was taking.
