THE GREAT HP COMPUTER/PRINTER SCAM THAT IS COMPATIBLE WITH ALL OTHER INTERNATIONAL HIGH -TECH COMPANIES.

The more I analyze the reasons for Corporations leaving the confines of being based in one specific Country, particularly the U.S. and joining the ranks of International status, the more clear it becomes to me, it's not for the purpose of making business more compatible or suitable to the consumer's needs, but strictly for theirs, and the greed for increase in 'World' market profits.
Although profits have always been the catalyst for success in companies surviving on reasonable gains from year to year and still surviving against fair competition in the same 'market atmosphere and conditions', there was always some sort of national control by a Gov't "Of the People, By the People and for the People" in that  'free-market' Country.
Of course, over the Centuries we have watched other systems eventually fail due to the manifestation of "One person, One Ideology" policies such as the all to powerful International ones rearing their ugly heads today.
Particularly in Countries that have Dictatorial rule by a certain group of  Godless people who through brute force, have influenced their Ideology on the rest of the "Sheeple" followers who have been kept at bay by lack of information. (I often refer to those folks as being purposefully "Dumbed down"!)
The negative effects of their greed for success these days, seems to finally have found it's negative way down the line, directly to the consumers themselves. It always will, and they know it!
    As a testament to that, I am about to tell you a bizarre example of it. Draw your own conclusions to my analysis, if you wish;
It would seem, now that our "Gov'ts of the people" representatives have, due to the need for increased campaign funds over the years, bent to the desires of the main contributors,  (The large Corporations) in order to receive their financial support in the ongoing elections each term.
In so doing, the objective of the People's Representatives have gradually changed over the years, from tending to the 'People's consumer protective concerns to allowing less restrictive, more abilities of the Corporations to amalgamate and purchase lesser companies out of competitive existence.
On the surface, it would seem the profitable thing to do as good business, ignoring the fact that the larger the corporation gets, the less need there is to match prices with the now, non existent competitor that used to be down the street making a meager but satisfactory living. But no one seems to care about the fact that while competition exists, it keeps a healthy atmosphere for the Consumer and there's money more available to their budget. When prices are elevated for more profit, there is less money available to the Consumer. In this kind of philosophy though, the trickle down negative benefit to the consumer amounts to higher prices.
What I'm trying to point out here is, our Representatives who are elected to establish and keep the unwritten rule of "checks and balances" so that both factions get a fair and honest representation and protection from greed by proper use of laws and restrictions, are allowing the profitable expansion of Companies, over the concern of the work performing, product producing consumer who would like to pocket a few bucks after an honest day's work.
Now that this consumer-negative phenomenon has taken place in recent times, it has now evolved into a Global problem, instead of just a National one.
The larger the Corporations become, the more International they become and the less competition there is that would benefit the consumer, the worse the situation is going to get.
What happened to me today regarding the problem I'm having with  HP, an Internationally established Co., is a good example of this, and it's a matter of lack of control over the Corporations and lack of concern for me, as a consumer by our Congressmen and women. It leads to this:
26 months ago, I replaced my laptop computer with Windows 7 to a new, HP laptop with windows 8. Along with that, I replaced my HP Printer with a an updated HP Officejet 6600 Printer for $150.00. It came with starter cartridges.
After a few glitches in getting both started and in sync with each other, since my printer was wireless,  it took me some time to orient myself with this kind of updated technology due to my age of  76 at the time. But I surprisingly learned to differentiate between curser and cursor! ( both of which I still use.)
The combination worked great on the wireless mode, and due to my constant blogging, I have replaced the cartridges multiple times over the last two years, without incident.
I knew I had a two year warranty on the Printer, having paid for it at Walmart. However, 2 weeks after the warranty expired, my printer began informing me that it was non-functional due an improperly or incompatibly installed print-head.
Remembering I purchased it at Walmart, I called them to confirm my warranty status, to be told it was no longer under warranty and I would simply have to purchase a new one. I then asked them where I could readily get it repaired. Again, the same answer, followed by a statement they were not obligated to recommend anyone who would be willing to repair them. Again, they announced I needed a new printer. (How bizarre is that??)
Not being satisfied with the lack of enthusiasm from them to stand behind a product such as HP, since they're  still selling their product, I asked to speak to a senior manager to explain it to me better.
My results were no better than the first manager. Buy a new printer!
I then called Office Depot, since I had purchased my original computer with windows 7 from them 3 years earlier and after all, had then bragged about their ability to repair most products related to laptops and printers.
As though by recording of the same message, I got from Walmart, I was given the same response! Buy another Printer!
In frustration, I asked the lady if she could give me the name of a shop where they could be repaired.
She said she could not and being in the sales end of things, she could only advise me to purchase a new one. but she finally did give me an 800 number to call HP support.com.
Since I had already done that online with no advice on how to correct the problem but to give me a list of repair places far removed from Mt. Vernon, Wa. where I live.
Then it dawned on me; When I purchased the machine for $150.00 26 months ago, it deliberately wasn't expected to last a long time anyway. Because the profit was not in it for someone in the company to economically repair it, or anyone else for that matter when you realize the cost of an expert's time to repair it, including the cost and trouble of handling the darn thing. ( The psychology) Do it!! Buy a new one! It's the ink they made the profit from. Not the darn Printer!!
After pondering on all of this, I wondered, how in the heck could all of this nonsense get us into this situation to start with??
Well, after thinking about it a while, I came up with the same conclusion that I started this dang blog with in the first place.
Unless you're prepared financially to purchase a product you know was produced in a Country here in North America that is considerably higher priced, and they're willing to warranty for a decent length of time, you're destined to buy products made in China or the like, produced for just a few cents apiece.

Then sold to you for just a few hundred dollars apiece, and made to last a ridiculously short period of time, garments and footwear included, just to cause you to have to go back to the same Superstore who bought out all the Independent Competitors that had kept the products Waranty-able.
Then repeat your purchases 3 times more often than you normally would have otherwise, if they weren't produced with inferior, sub-standard thread to ensure a rapid re-purchase down the road.
     Make sense to you, Vern??
So what should the Representatives do now, what they haven't been doing? Well, make them do what they were elected to do in the first place: Protect the Consumers with regulations that matter to them, and not the Major Corporations alone. (Good luck on that one, if you think the Progressives are going to do it!)
Their 'bundled'  re-election fortune comes from the International Billionaires by way of anonymous donors!  Just sayin'.
